Global AMR Programs

Infection observations often captured in manual systems.

Global AMR programs are essential for coordinating international efforts to combat antimicrobial resistance. These programs facilitate the sharing of data, best practices, and resources among countries, fostering a collaborative approach to surveillance and intervention. By aligning national strategies with global objectives, these programs help to standardize practices and improve the overall effectiveness of AMR management.

Clinical Governance

Clinical governance encompasses the frameworks and processes that ensure high-quality patient care and safety in healthcare settings. It involves the establishment of standards, protocols, and accountability mechanisms to monitor and improve clinical practices. In the context of infection intelligence, clinical governance plays a vital role in ensuring that antimicrobial stewardship programs are effectively implemented and adhered to within healthcare facilities.

Infection Intelligence Platform

Antibiotic prescribing patterns reviewed retrospectively.

The Infection Intelligence Platform serves as the central hub for data integration and analysis. It combines information from various sources, including surveillance data, microbiology results, and stewardship activities, to provide a comprehensive view of the infection landscape. This platform enables healthcare providers to make informed decisions based on real-time data, enhancing their ability to respond to AMR challenges effectively.

The Infection Intelligence Loop

Enabling Continuous Improvement in Infection Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship

Effective infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship require more than periodic reporting or isolated laboratory insights. Hospitals must continuously capture surveillance data, analyze microbiology trends, guide clinical decision-making, and refine policies based on evolving evidence.

In many healthcare settings, these activities occur in silos—surveillance teams maintain manual registers, microbiology laboratories generate reports that may not be fully integrated into clinical practice, and antibiotic stewardship teams review prescribing patterns retrospectively. This fragmentation limits the ability of hospitals to respond rapidly to infection risks and emerging antimicrobial resistance patterns.

The Infection Intelligence Loop represents a continuous cycle through which hospitals transform surveillance observations and microbiology insights into actionable clinical guidance and improved institutional policies.

ACHSI–Ibhar Continuous Infection Prevention Certification Program

The ACHSI–Ibhar Continuous Infection Prevention Certification Program represents an important evolution in healthcare quality assurance. By combining internationally recognized accreditation expertise with advanced digital surveillance technology, the program enables hospitals to demonstrate their commitment to measurable, transparent, and continuously improving infection prevention practices.

The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI) is a globally recognized organization that works with healthcare providers and governments to improve quality, patient safety, and clinical governance through internationally benchmarked accreditation and advisory services.

Evidence from 150+ Hospitals

Insights generated from infection surveillance, microbiology data, and antimicrobial stewardship programs across more than 150 participating hospitals provide a strong real-world evidence base. These datasets support research, inform antibiotic policies, and help healthcare teams strengthen infection prevention and stewardship practices.

Supporting Quality and Safety Initiatives with CAHO

For over a decade, Ibhar has worked with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO) to strengthen quality and safety practices across hospitals. Our digital platforms support initiatives including Fire Safety preparedness, the CAHO Learning Platform (CLAPP), the CONVERT confidential national incident reporting system, and license management tools. These systems have enabled thousands of healthcare professionals and institutions to participate in structured learning, safety reporting, and compliance management programs that advance patient safety and clinical governance across the healthcare ecosystem.
